Crossroads Sour

Gin

A reinterpretation of the Gin Sour, the Crossroads Sour is a beautiful blend of sweet, tart, floral, and fruity. Very refreshing!

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Bright Gin

  • ¾ oz blackberry syrup

  • ¾ oz lime juice

  • ¼ oz Cointreau

  • 1 dash orange bitters

  • 1 dash Angostura bitters

  • 1 lime wheel (for garnish)

  • 2 blackberries (for garnish)

Blackberry Syrup Ingredients

  • 2 cups blackberries

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 2 cups water

Directions

  1. Prep the Blackberry Syrup in advance so it has time to cool

    • Bring water to a boil. Add the blackberries and turn the heat down to a simmer.

    • Add blackberries and simmer in water until berries and water are the same color.

    • Strain out blackberries using a fine mesh strainer.

    • Add sugar into the liquid and stir until dissolved.

    • Pour into mason jar and store in refrigerator. (Can last for up to 1 month if stored properly in an airtight container. Syrups, however, will eventually get moldy, so check on it regularly.)

  2. Put all the liquids in a shaker with ice and shake it good!

  3. Double strain into a glass with fresh ice.

  4. Garnish with a lime wheel and two blackberries and enjoy.
